Doktor Snake is author of Doktor Snake’s Voodoo Spellbook (the world’s #1 bestselling book on voodoo). Along with Get Money, Unthinking Barbarian, and Bewitched. He also provides expert voodoo spellcasting services to clients around the world, helping them overcome the various issues they encounter in their lives.
Doktor Snake is acknowledged as one of the foremost authorities on selling your soul to the Devil at the crossroads, which he says is all about empowerment and is similar to the witches sabbat. He has also appeared on TV, radio, and media all over the globe.
Doc grew up in London. And got into voodoo after meeting a mysterious root doctor and singer from Trinidad called Earl Marlowe, whom Snake played guitar for in a band with during the 1980s. Besides music, the two would cast voodoo spells, and perform exorcisms and séances, along with other magickal ceremonies, for clients in London and other parts of the UK, and later the USA.
These experiences are chronicled in Doktor Snake’s Voodoo Spellbook, originally published in the USA by St. Martin’s Press and in the UK by Connections. With evocative illustrations by Chris Daunt, the book has been described as “kick ass voodoo on crack.” A new expanded edition of the book came out in 2018 with new material and new illustrations.
Today Doktor Snake divides his time between London and his country retreat on the eastside of paradise, where he cannot be reached by phone, fax or e-mail. Only true hoodoos know how to reach him there. Doktor Snake walks on the edge of forever and always pays heed to his dreams.

How Doktor Snake became a voodoo man (in his own words)
I’m a white man. I came to the path of voodoo and hoodoo magick through playing guitar in a band with a Trinidadian singer and hoodoo man called Earl Marlowe. When I first new him, Earl looked to be in his early sixties (although he claimed to be 127). He was a very picturesque character. His head was shaved and he regularly wore purple-tinted aviator shades. Sometimes he would wear sharp Italian suits, other times colourful African robes.
During our association together, Earl told me many magickal stories about the Caribbean and the American South (where he lived before settling in England). he also taught me much about the trade of the voodoo and hoodoo doctor. This, coupled with my own study of African and new world religion, proved invaluable, as, after Earl died, many of his clients came to me asking for help.
At first I was reluctant, lacking confidence in my abilities.. But then a friend of Earl, an old West Indian guy who ran a domino club, said to me, “Earl handed his mantle down to you. You might not know it, but he did.”
With that he gave me a silver snake ring, telling me that Earl had entrusted it to him just before he left this world, with instructions that it be given to me.
After that I spent two weeks in deep meditation, burning oils and incenses, and communing with the spirits. The result was that I took the magickal name Doktor Snake and became a professional witch doctor.
