The bible was used by Elvis Presley until his death on August 16, 1977. It contains his handwritten notes, thoughts, annotations and underlining throughout. Poignantly, one of the many lines emphasised by the troubled entertainer states: “What is a man advantaged if he gain the whole world and lose himself or be cast away.”
Sky News reports that the entire Elvis collection, owned by a single British collector, sold for just over £100,000 at the sale at Omega Auctions in Stockport, Cheshire. But the key item here is Elvis’ Bible. Christ (and I’m not taking the Messiah’s name in vain here) this is one hell of a voodoo conjure artefact. This is an item of SERIOUS MAGICKAL POWER.
Now, I can’t know this for sure, but whoever bought this is likely a practitioner of magick and the occult – maybe even of swamp voodoo conjure. Now, you might not know this, but many voodoo and hoodoo conjure workers will use the Bible in their spellwork, often using the Psalms. In fact, the old time voodoo doctors considered Moses to be the greatest conjure worker there ever was – well apart from Ole Satan, of course…he kinda had the edge.
But to have Elvis’ Bible…that would be the ultimate in occult power. Get your hands on that, and believe me, you could go on over to President Obama and get a mega-million dollar commission to win him the next election. And that is no joke.
But we must not forget Elvis’ scrawled note in his Bible. The one that said:
“What is a man advantaged if he gain the whole world and lose himself or be cast away.”
That’s very powerful. And you know what that means? It means don’t forget your essence, the true “you” that you were born with. The part of you that shrinks and shrinks the more you are conditioned by parents, environment and popular culture. It’s the side of you that is the true you. Elvis clearly knew what was being eroded away in himself. Had he not died, and not maxed out on all that medication, he’d have somehow found a way to re-connect with his deeper self, and his essence.
…Yet listen to his songs, Heartbreak Hotel, Mystery Train, and all those old Sun recordings (which a pal of mine has on 78s) and you can feel Elvis’ essence, his true self, shining through…
Take this message from Elvis: Never lose your connection with your essence, the true you that lies deep inside of you.
