How will you feel when your ex comes back? Great, right? The heartache will dissolve and you’ll feel good again.
For this to happen, you will need to take into account one super-important thing.
Before we get to that, let’s look at how it all pans out.
Let’s face it, when your lover leaves you, it cuts straight to the heart. It can be hard to even eat. And feeling happy seems like a thing of the past.
Your mind keeps going back to your lost love, and it seems impossible to control your emotions, which rollercoaster between feeling OK-ish (thinking maybe you can move on) to sheer despair and heartbreak.
This is understandable and only to be expected. You will feel pain. There’s no getting around that. The bottom line is you desperately want your ex to come back.
But the critical thing to avoid is giving into being needy…
Don’t go calling your ex or texting them all the time.
Being needy, or at least showing it, tends to put people off. It will make your ex feel pressured and will only make the situation worse.
Therefore, the first thing to do is to calm your emotions down, and center yourself. That way, you will be better able to resist being needy,
One of the most effective things you can do to relax and stop a racing mind, and allied anxiety and emotional states, is to do a daily “body sensing” exercise.
It will help ease the pain, and put you in a better frame of mind to win your ex lover back.
This is what you do:
✴ Lie down or sit in a comfortable armchair. Take a few slow, deep breaths.
✴ Now imagine your skeleton and then, starting with your toes, picture in your mind’s eye each bone in your body.
✴ From the toes, work your way up both legs at once.
✴ Flow your attention into the pelvis. Shoot up the spine, swoop across your ribs.
✴ Sail down your arms; ride back up the shoulders, then up the neck and into your skull, sending your focus into the center of your brain.
✴ Now simply relish the feeling of relaxation. If any racing thoughts intrude, gently guide them away from you, imaging them flowing out of you and into the ground below.
✴ If any part of your body tenses up, simply put your mental focus on that area, and feel it relaxing again.
✴ When you are done, slowly bring your attention back to the everyday world and go about your day.
Once you become accomplished at “body sensing”, you can do it in any situation…
You can do it walking down the street or travelling on public transport.
The idea is to achieve some level of calmness, despite your heartbreak. This will enable you to present yourself in a more contained manner, which will be far more appealing to your ex than if you are needy.
Your ex might even wonder what’s going on, and be intrigued by the fact that you appear to be getting on with your life without them.
By changing yourself within, you begin to change the world around you…
Equally, of course, it will help you deal with the break-up from a position of strength – and this is one of the central keys to returning your ex lover to you.
